“Today, we are living, not (again!) an extinction but a collapse in the number of individuals in the “wild” living populations! In addition, we are witnessing a dramatic increase of domestic animals… This represents one of the symbols of the “great acceleration of the Anthropocene”, this era of the Earth and human history during which human beings have become the main factor of “change”.

Then, how a certain “harmony” between humanity and biodiversity could be found again? How will nearly 8 billion human beings, packed together in huge cities, be able to keep with them and not destroy, this biodiversity to which they belong? A flower meadow, symphony of smells and colours, in the city is a symbol of this harmony! Bringing life in the city is essential for our well-being and to regulate the climate! The aim of this work is to fill us with wonder and to make us think about the fact that all is not lost and with a burst of energy, human beings can still understand and realise that without this nature, there is no future! On the 7,000 species of plants in France, 1,000 are still in our cities: so let’s keep them and love them!” Gilles Bœuf
